Customer case study – Crisis management and assistance
Port-au-Prince, Haiti
CONTEXT
Amid a sharp rise in violence due to gang activity, two of our customer’s employees, who were on a technical mission in the country, came under direct threat due to clashes in the capital of Port-au-Prince.
After consultation with our customer, the decision was made to confine and evacuate the staff as quickly as possible to ensure their security.
Our solution
Under the supervision of IRENA’s Security Manager in Haiti, the customer’s personnel were exfiltrated from the risk zone and taken to a Safe House in Port-au-Prince by the operational teams of our local partner.
The following day, they were taken to the airport under security protection where they boarded a flight to the nearby Dominican Republic.
