CONTEXT
Our customer is a major player in the construction and operation of solar farms.
As leader of a consortium, the customer won a tender to construct a solar farm in an area known for its high level of organised crime (guerrilla warfare, drug trafficking, etc.).
Our solution
We deployed a Local Security Manager (LSM) to manage all the security aspects of the project.
A professional with an extensive career in the military, the LSM manage all the security aspects of the project. This included:
- assessment of the security situation in the project zone to define the protection measures required
- ongoing consulting with the Project Director on all security-related issues
- establishment and day-to-day management of security teams (guards, transport, etc.)
- training and support of staff, both expatriate and local
- incident management
- relations with official forces in the area, (Police, Army, etc.) and irregular forces.
